Dictionary 2000 help.

Abput & Architecture Go to index Dictionary 2000 is a dictionary program wich can translate from any to any of the
supported languages.Now English,French,German,Russian,Polish,Latin,Swedish,
Norwegian,Portugeese,Spanish languages avalable and possible to translate from
any to any of this languages.The architecture of program is so that when you add for
example Spanish word using English translation this word will be automaticaly
connected with all dictionaries and will be avalable as a translation and source
when you translate to spanish from any language or to any language from Spanish.

Translating words Go to index

To translate word you must select dictionaries,enter word , and press "Translate"
button.
To change direction to contraty press "Reverse" .If word you entered is unknown to
program you will get closest word to input.Then you will get one or few translations.

Adding / Deleting words Go to index There are two ways of adding words.You can click add/delete item from Dictionary
menu item and add or delete words and translations manualy,separated by comma
and then press Add or Delete button .The second way is translating text dictionary to
Dictionary 2000 .dic format.Text file must have special format.
new words : translations    ,or
translations : new words
New words and translations must be separated by comma , also you may use "Tab"
character instead of " : '.Also there is a special rules for european characters.They
must be written in windows charset , or you may use such a rule : If a letter has some
character after it it will be followed with it.
Characters :
~ Letter will have tilde above it
/   - Accent
\    - Accent
.    - Umlaut (:)

If you have a such format text dictionary you must set "Add from text mode atribute"
wich shows wich word is first (new or translation) and press "Add from text button" ,
select this text file , and those words will be added to your dictionary.

Anyway , if you use any of this two ways all new words will be connected with all
avalable dictionaries and will be avalable as a translations and sources.

Changing font / charset settings. Go to index You can change font and charset settings for any avalable dictionaries.It is not
recomended to do it if you have no problems with fonts in this program.When
you executed this dialog , select needfull dictionary , and click on the edit near
dictionary field , you will get "Font dialog".Select font and charset , press Ok
button.Then you can do three things : Press "Apply" button to apply changes ,
press "Default" button to return to default values , or exit this dialog.
